This is an authentic, 1960s Japanese Jungle Emperor jigsaw puzzle. It is large: 14.25 inches wide by 10.75 inches high.



This puzzle is unused. It is in what appears to be its original package, but the package is not sealed. That paper insert in the picture below can be removed or placed behind the puzzle.



The picture is bright, the finish is lustrous, the drawing board on the back is completely clean.



This puzzle is in excellent condition for its age: bright, no fading, no dirt. The puzzle features many of the characters from the TV shows. I would hazard a guess that this dates from 1966 or 1967, since the character design of the two adult lions matches that of the Susume Leo/Leo the Lion series. The characters in the background, however, are from the original Jungle Emperor/Kimba the White Lion series.

As a bonus with this puzzle, you will get a charming Japanese jigsaw puzzle of more recent vintage, designed to teach children the English alphbet.
